SAQ scheduled to air on Alexanderson Day July 5th, 2026. The only remaining, and still fully functional, Alexanderson Alternator. Experience the wings of history where they are really heard! On the 5th of July 2026 the World Heritage Grimeton Radio Station and the Alexander Grimeton Friendship Association invite you to the Alexanderson Day – a unique and lively family day filled with technology, culture and world-class experiences. During the day, the radio station is brought to life with the legendary Alexanderson Alternator (SAQ), the only one of its kind in the world that still works. The unique Alexanderson alternator from 1924, with the call sign SAQ, is scheduled for two transmissions over the antenna on VLF 17.2 kHz CW. To attend one of the transmissions in the transmitter hall, a ticket will be required. You can book you ticket here already now (recommended). A full program of all activities on the 2026 Alexanderson Day will soon be available on grimeton.org. Live Video from World Heritage Grimeton Radio Station On this Alexanderson Day there will be no live video from the transmissions, due to staffing difficulties. Instead, the Alexander association team will fully focus on bringing SAQ out in the ether. We ask for your understanding. Test Transmissions We are planning for some test transmissions, preliminary on July 2nd or 3rd between 13:00 - 16:00 CEST (we will confirm as soon as we can). During the tests, SAQ will be on air shorter periods of time, when we will be carrying out some tests and measurements. Your comments are welcome to info@alexander.n.se. QSL Reports to SAQ Your QSL reports to SAQ are, as usual, most welcome and much appreciated! For guaranteed E-QSL from us, please report using our  ONLINE QSL FORM. SSTV banda CB

Oggi 07/06/2026 sulla frequenza di 27.700 MHz USB molte stazioni. sopratutto Francesi erano operative nello scambio di immagini SSTV. Molte di queste rievocano lo sbarco in Normadia, visto che il giorno 6 giugno del 1944 gli alleati sbarcarono e liberarono Parigi facendo ritirare le truppe tedesche.

Radioascolto / SU

Dal 23/05 al 01/06 io e la mia Signora ci siamo concessi e goduti finalmente una vera vacanza di relax. Mare stupendo, posto magnifico e riposo, riposo, riposo. La meta è stata quella di Sharm el-Sheikh in Egitto presso un resort internazionale immenso svicino la scogliera di Ras Um Sid, simile ad un paese fatto di casette con giardini vialetti e piscine, sparsi per oltre 35 mila mq.

La curiosità di fare Ascolto in zona completamente diversa dall'Italia mi stimolava, ma non sapendo bene se durante il passaggio delle dogane e posti di controllo (a dir la verità non ho approfondito la cosa) il fatto di avere delle apparecchiature particlorai avrebbe potuto creare problemi, mi son limitato a portare il piccolo Tecsun 365, la sua antenna a T per le onde medie e una filarina di 3 metri con clip da applicare sullo stilo, che si trova in dotazione.

Ebbene devo dire che in riva al mare le onde corte hanno offerto diversi spunti interessanti, monitorando frequenze che ascoltando da casa molti di noi utilizzano come punti di riferimento e altre in modo casuale. Una su tutte mi ha letteralmente stupito ovvero la frequenza di 9790 kHz di Radio France Int. Da casa, sarà la vicinanza alle montagne, il fatto che il segnale sia irradiato per scavalcare il nord italia, sta di fatto che giù la ricevevo con segnale fortissimo ed un audio perfetto. Le onde medie mi hanno un pò deluso, a parte un paio di stazioni del nord Africa, il resto solo rumore. Evidentemente l'enorme numero di condizionatori, faretti led ecc.. qualche interferenza la generano.

Devo comunque dire che per quel poco di ascolto che ho fatto mi son divertito, anche se i bagni in mare dove sembrava di nuotare in un acquario e le gite organizzate hanno preso il sopravvento.

 

Mi disse...

Molti anni fa, un giorno d'inverno mi recai a trovare un amico e grandissimo SWL di esperienza, e mentre mi parlava delle sue esperienze di radio, frequenze e antenne si fermò un istante e poggiandomi una mano sulla spalla mi disse:

"Ivan per ottenere grandi risultati, 

impara ad ASCOLTARE... non limitarti a SENTIRE..."

Fu una grande lezione, che ancor oggi mi riaffiora nella mente e mi aiuta a comprendere 

ed affrontare al meglio questo meraviglioso hobby

Sabato 14 Marzo 2026, mi sono recato alla fiera di Montichiari (Bs), non avevo in mente nessun acquisto se non alcuni connettori \ adattatori per utilizzare l'antenna magnetica Vhf-Uhf ed i vari portatili in mio possesso. Girovagando per i vari stand mi sono soffermato a guardare le apparecchiature con tecnologia SDR che sono quelle che mi affasciano di più. Diverse le antenne proposte da costruttori presenti che offrivano soluzioni un po per tutte le bande e le tasche, oltre ad alcune di dimensioni ridotte che permettevano l'utilizzo in portatile. I soliti banchetti di ciarpame vario, valvole, vinili e di apparati usati. Circa a metà dello stabile mi sono soffermato al banco di un espositore dove vi erano presenti diversi kit di miniricevitori che troviamo orami su tutte le piattaforme di vendita online più comuni, e visto che mi ha incuriosito sin dal primo giorno che l'ho visto e l'ho acquistato nel suo kit custodia compresa per 40 €.

Il kit è composto come detto dalla sua custodia, da due antenne, verticale e loop, un paio di cuffiette e il caricabatterie. Il suo funzionamento in casa con queste antenne a parte l' FM non è per nulla agevole, con la loop qualche stazione in MW, mentre in HF nulla, in verticale son riuscito ad ascoltare qualcosa in 40 metri, e qualche stazione Broadcasting tra i 41, i 31 ed i 25 metri. Nettamente migliorata la ricezione, con l'ausilio dell'antenna passiva Youloop appoggiata brutalmente sul cassonetto della finestra.

 

Senza l'utilizzo di un preselettore a monte, soffre di saturazione, ma un utilizzo basico in campo aperto, durante qualche passeggiata, offre comunque la possibilità di fare radioascolto portandosi appresso tutto il kit, nello spazio di due pacchetti di fazzoletti. Un giocattolo? Direi di si, comunque un aggeggino interessante anche dal solo punto di vista che con una sola manopola permette di selezionare tutti i menù, disponibili.
